As is obvious from the label design, this is our oldest range. When the founders, Rob and Catherine Frith, first planted the vineyard at Mount Vincent in the 1990's and before the vines had matured sufficiently, they went in search of the best grapes they could buy in the Hunter Valley to produce their flagship wines. To this day, they continue to seek out the best of the best, sometimes blending, sometimes single vineyard to produce wines that can be served with the finest of meals but equally be consumed alone just for the sheer pleasure of drinking something really special from the Hunter.
The labels depict old sepia photos of railway stations. Rob Frith's grandfather spent his whole career with the NSW Railways and finished his days at Toronto, not far from Mount Vincent. As a small boy in the 1950's, Rob would visit his “Pop”, who took him everywhere with him. Consequently Rob spent most Christmas holidays in the stations on the labels or if his luck was in, up with fireman and driver in the cab of the old steam locomotives.
